Kochi Biennale Co founder and the first edition curator of Kochi Biennale. Riyas komu is multi media artist and lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

A multimedia artist, curator based in Mumbai. He is the Ideator of Kochi-Muziris Biennale and CoFounder of Kochi Biennale Foundation (est. 2010). He co-curated the first edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale in 2012 and has been the Director of Programmes and initiated the Students' Biennale,
Children's Biennale (ABC, Art by Children), Artists Cinema, Video Lab, Let's Talk series & History Now (Talks and Seminars), Pepper House Residency & Exhibition. He has been the Advisor and Visual Arts Curator for Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa and conceptualised and curated the 'Young Sub-Continent' project. He is the co-founder of URU Art Harbour a cultural hub in Mattancherry, Kochi, (Kerala) which promotes artists from the region focussing on research on Local Culture and Maritime History. Komu Cocurated first International Football Film Festival in India at Goa International Film Festival and Trivandrum International Film Festival in 2012. In 2019 He curated Kondotty Sufi Festival. As an artist, his works have been exhibited globally in many major exhibitions including Venice Biennale.
