Indu Rao

Statement

Indu Rao is a young artist making her presence felt in Indian contemporary Art with her sculptures. Born in Gwalior in 1985, she studied bachelors in fine arts & masters in fine arts at govt. collage of fine arts from I.K.S.V.V. Khairaghar, Chhattisgarh.

Indu’s works are an inspiration of India’s rich heritage especially from her home town Gwalior. Her art works reflect her early upbringing and training within the place where she lives. A series of her sculptures are based on spiritual thinking and the musical instrument that was depicted in the art works are as an icon of god.
