Zahra Yazdani is a visual artist based in Iran whose work explores the excavation of spaces and performing bodies through photography, archive creation, and collaboration with performers. Employing alternative photographic techniques and various collage methods, she aims to create an in-between atmosphere where the lines between documentary and fiction become indistinct. Her practice primarily incorporates photography, printmaking, video, and art books. Drawing inspiration from Iranian storytelling, Yazdani delves into the unconscious layers of the mind within a mythical and metaphorical context, envisioning untouched landscapes as a representation of this Orphic state as she journeys closer to the 'Forbidden Lands,' the title of her current series.
