Meghna Singh Patpatia’s art explores the beauty of natural formations and geological patterns through intricate ink drawings on handmade paper and textiles. Her work often incorporates a mix of glass and found objects, adding depth to her pieces. Influenced by her background in art restoration, Meghna weaves mythical creatures and natural elements into her drawings, creating celestial landscapes. She builds textured surfaces by layering paper on fabric, evoking a delicate, fragile terrain that reflects our own vulnerability in a constantly changing world.
Meghna completed her BFA in Painting from Sir J.J. School of Art in 2009, followed by a Post-Graduate degree in Museology and Conservation from the CSMVS Museum, Mumbai in 2010. Recently, she pursued further studies in Art-Based Therapy from the Mind & Arts Institute in Mumbai, graduating in 2020. Her work has gained significant recognition, with highlights including her participation in the 2022 India Art Fair in Delhi, where she was part of *Transmutations*, a group exhibition curated by Ranjit Hoskote with Art Alive Gallery. In 2020, she held her solo show *A River Runs Through You* at Method Art Space in Mumbai.
