Abhishek Chakraborty is an Indian contemporary sculptor whose practice explores memory, spatial transformation, and architecture through material experimentation and site-specific installations. Drawing from his experiences across urban and rural environments, his work engages ancestral roots and ecological shifts, merging organic and industrial materials to reflect on changing landscapes.
He holds an MFA in Sculpture from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan (2022) and a BFA from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara (2020). Chakraborty is the recipient of several accolades, including the Amar Nath Sehgal Inception Grant (2024), the Out of the Box Grant from Pollinator.io, and the Merit Award at the 57th Annual Exhibition of Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata.
