Zeigam Azizov

London
Statement

Zeigam Azizov is a London-based Azerbaijani contemporary artist, writer, philosopher, and theorist whose conceptual practice explores the intersections of time, memory, and media theory. He is known for developing the idea of the ‘migration paradigm’—a philosophical framework he terms migrasophia (migration + philosophy)—to rethink globalization and space-time relationships. Azizov brings a global and conceptual rigour to curatorial thinking through this lens.

His works have been exhibited internationally at major venues including the Venice Biennale (Azerbaijan Pavilion, 2019; 2011; 2003), The Time Salon, Sydney (2017), Tate Modern, London (2006), Haus der Kunst, Munich (2004), Grazer Kunstverein, Austria (2002), and TN Probe, Tokyo (2001), among others.
