Rumit Donga (b. 1997, Surat, Gujarat, India) completed his BFA from VNSGU, Surat, and his MVA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU, Baroda. He is primarily interested in image making, and the image comes from his immediate surroundings and day-to-day life. He explores the economic activities that shape their existence and highlights their position in society, delving into the socio-political issues that affect them. Also In his work, the human body has always been the centre of his preoccupation. He uses the traditional Buon Jaipuri fresco technique, which he learned during his master's in the mural department, and also works in clay occasionally. He is inspired by Ajanta Frescoes and Benodebehari Mukherjee’s murals.

In 2019, he did five months of studio art practice at Priyashri Art Studio in Baroda. He participated in various group shows and workshops, like 2025 'The routes of being' group show with gallery OED, Kochi. 2025 ''FERAL ECOLOGIRS'' group show at Hh art space, Goa. 2024 Embark ’ Edition VI&VI I’, Ark Foundation, Baroda. 2023‘’looking around us” at the Jamat Art, Mumbai. 2023 ‘’Dwar’’ the launch event for Surat Art Fair and show curated by Priyansihi Saxena. 2022 ‘’the flying goat art show 2.0” in the goa. 2022 ‘’Jal Vayu’’ at the faculty of fine arts Exhibition hall, Baroda. 2022 ‘’Breaking the mould’’ group show with Anant Art in Delhi. 2019 Online 4th student biennale, Kochi. He also attended a paper-making workshop, facilitated by Anupam Chakraborty, faculty of fine arts, Baroda. In 2020, an Online Drawing Conversation Workshop was organised by Gallery Ark. In 2018, FICA Workshop on Intermedia Arts: Sound and Visual Expression, at VNSGU, Surat.
