Avinash Chandra, senior Indian master artist, contemporary painter was born in Kashmir

"In my art, I seek to merge the vibrant essence of Indian culture with the dynamism of Western modernism. Each stroke on the canvas embodies a celebration of life, echoing the vivid hues and rhythms of my homeland. My work evolves from the heart, exploring the interplay of colors, shapes, and emotions, inviting viewers on a visual journey through the kaleidoscope of existence. Through my paintings, I strive to evoke a sense of joy, capturing the essence of cultural amalgamation and universal harmony."

Chandra's paintings are characterized by their vivid use of colors and dynamic brushwork. He embraced abstraction, employing bold, sweeping strokes and a lively palette to create compositions that exude energy and movement. His works often convey a sense of rhythm and flow, drawing viewers into a world of vibrant hues and forms.

While steeped in abstraction, Chandra's paintings frequently incorporated elements from Indian culture. He drew inspiration from Indian mythology, folklore, and spirituality, infusing his abstract canvases with symbolic references and motifs derived from his heritage. These cultural echoes added depth and richness to his abstract explorations.
