Nagesh Ghodke is a young artist who has made his presence felt with his astounding art themed on villages of India. He has now started to create ripples in the international art scene as well. Nagesh hails from a suburban village near Mumbai and he now lives in Mumbai. He did his Bachelors in art from the well acclaimed L.S. Raheja School of Art, Bandra, Mumbai but his Artistic streak was well nurtured and encouraged when he was in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Latur, Maharashtra. Nagesh’s muse is the ever changing nature itself. His village upbringing and culture highly influences his brand of art. His sublime work aesthetically depicts the beauty of rural India. Nagesh has won several awards for his work; the most notable ones are the Bombay Art Society Award in 2006, 2008, 2011 and the Best Painting of the year Award, L. S. Raheja School of Art in 2005, 2006, and 2008.
