Diptej Vernekar

Statement

Born in 1991, Goa, Diptej Vernekar received an MFA from SN School of Arts and Communications Dept. of Fine Arts, University of Hyderabad, India. Diptej’s work is critical to the exhibition wherein it explores altered forms acting as catalysts in the formation of abstract visuals.

Diptej’s work explores the fragility of the human condition. His stories translate into mystical or abstract charcoal drawings since they can never be recalled in their entirety. His critical intervention comes through looking at these objects and transformations through the allegory of human understandings, situations, personal myths, their associations, and contents.
